I want to thank you all for everything you have given me. These past 14 months have truly been a roller-coaster ride for me
I first got to know about Scale.jobs when Balaji came to our college for a talk, and the spark in my eyes from that day still exists whenever I speak with you. Thank you for always answering all my dumb questions with your deepest insights ranging from product, programming, career, running ads, SEO, other companies’ practices, or even teaching me a little bit of cricket during our team games. The developer in you will always inspire me. I’ll always be grateful that you believed in me just from a cold DM and even offered me WFH when I needed it the most
And Leela, thank you for starting this company. You have no idea how much impact you’ve had on my career and product thinking. I’ll never forget the lessons you thought me when we sat together for UI changes, my way of looking at product has completely transformed because of you. You’re the most approachable CEO I have ever met, always answering even my basic product and UI questions, and also giving me faith that nothing will truly go wrong if I fail one subject
(alphabetical Order from here, No heart feelings please)
Hariharan anna, I never met you but, I had heard a lot about you. You’re a benchmark for me in Sales. Keep growing and Keep Scale.Jobs win in the process
Harshitha Akka, To be frank, I’m a solo child for my parents and You’re the only elder sister I talked and been close too. Thank you for that Experience
Krishna, thank you for being the best buddy to me. When you came to my house and spoke with my mother, she said these are exactly the kind of people she wants me to spend time with, the people who care about my success as much as she does, without jealousy or bad intentions. Please don’t forget me after you become an IAS officer (All the Best)
Naveen, the more I spoke with you, the more I understood why you’re better than me and why Balaji hired you. Never let down the people who have faith in you
Shabu, I’ll miss our midnight conversations that ran till 3 A.M. Thank you for connecting me with your friends and helping me grow my network. Your conversational style is something I admire and want to learn. You’ve helped me with career guidance, connections, and so many other things, and also I’ll always appreciate how you stood up for me
Then there’s Shubham bhai, the one-man army. I’ve learned so many life lessons from you, and only recently did I start to see the ground reality of them. And also thank you for saving us from Ravi anna’s food every afternoon! I learned a lot of operations-related things from you, and you’re my benchmark for how to deal with clients
Vandit bro, thank you for teaching me so many sales and marketing terms. I always googled the terms you mentioned in your messages and in All Hands meetings, and I’ve learned a lot from them
Vishal anna, my only roommate and my best buddy senior, thank you for always vouching for me, standing up for me, and reminding me that failing a subject is not the end of the world. You’ve been such a special part of my life, and you may not realize how much your support has meant to me
And Vishwa bro, thank you for being a killer sales guy to look up to and for telling me how a recruiter might view me, that one piece of advice helped me a lot. I always wished we could meet in team cricket, but it never happened. Still, I’m sure we’ll meet someday
I’m going to miss all the Mirzapur nights, long drives, evening shuttle games, egg noodles in Satavahana and fried chicken at Bistro. Thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity
Finally, I want to leave you with something my father said about all of you On January 3rd, 2025, when my parents came to drop me in Hyderabad, and when leaving, my father said, “I will not call you or be worried about you, because I’m leaving you with the best people I could.”
Thank you for everything
Signing off,
Mohammad Sadiq
